ATELIER.

Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect the photo of your wall and your contact details so we can make your free preview and send it to you. We delete the photo after 90 days unless you place an order. We never show your room publicly unless you separately tick the box allowing it. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising cookies, which California law treats as “sharing” — you can turn that off at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share page.

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how [YOUR LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“ATELIER”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website and our free wall-preview service. It applies to visitors in the United States.

If you are in the EU/UK, note that this site is not currently directed at you and we do not operate a GDPR consent mechanism here.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

We do not collect payment card details on this site.

3. What we use it for

4. Your wall photos — specific commitments

A photo of the inside of your home is more sensitive than most e-commerce data, so we treat it separately:

  • It is used only to produce your preview.
  • It is stored privately and is not publicly accessible.
  • It is deleted after 90 days unless you place an order, in which case we keep it for the life of that order and any warranty period.
  • It is never shown publicly — no ads, no social posts, no case studies — unless you separately ticked the optional box giving permission.
  • We do not sell it and we do not use it to train machine-learning models for third parties.
  • You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing [privacy@yourdomain.com].

5. Who we disclose it to

We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose it to:

6. Cookies, pixels and Global Privacy Control

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to measure advertising. Advertising pixels let us understand which ads produce previews and orders.

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we treat that as a valid request to opt out of sharing for advertising and we will not load advertising pixels. You can also opt out manually on theDo Not Sell or Share page, which stores a preference on your device.

7. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them — the preview stays free either way.

Your rights

How to exercise them

Email [privacy@yourdomain.com] with the subject line “Privacy Request”, or call [YOUR PHONE NUMBER]. To opt out of advertising sharing, use the Do Not Sell or Share page — no account or verification needed.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extending by a further 45 days where necessary and telling you if we do. We may need to verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email address used to submit the form. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission.

8. Other US state privacy rights

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana — have broadly similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out of targeted advertising. Use the same contact route above; we apply one process to everyone rather than asking which state you are in. Where a state provides an appeal right, you may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision, and we will respond within the period that state requires.

9. SMS terms

Program: [YOUR SMS PROGRAM NAME] — preview-ready alerts and occasional offers from ATELIER.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact [privacy@yourdomain.com].
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We keep a record of your consent — the timestamp, IP address and the exact disclosure wording shown to you — for at least four years.

10. How long we keep things

11. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and private storage for uploaded photos. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

This site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

13. Changes

We will update the “Last updated” date when this policy changes. Material changes will be signposted on this page.
